The Association for Change and Transformation (ACT) strives to educate the Villanova community on the dynamics of social identity, power, privilege and oppression. ACT works to eradicate all forms of prejudice and stereotypes on campus through dialogue and interactive workshops by promoting acceptance, understanding, openness, and equity.
They are most commonly known for their production of the Touch of Diversity Skit during New Student Orientation, which portrays the real experiences of students on campus. The skit tackles issues of racism, sexism, homophobia, Islamophobia, ableism, and others and works to foster conversation on how to make the Villanova community a more accepting place for all its students.
Your 1842 Day donation would allow ACT to continue to perform the Touch of Diversity Skit, bring powerful speakers to campus, hold facilitation trainings and have meaningful dialogues. ACT appreciates your support!
1842 Day is Villanova’s day of giving - when we unite to celebrate all that makes Villanova great! This is our opportunity to show pride and gratitude for the impact Villanova has on each of us, in our communities and around the world. Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends – let’s make a difference TOGETHER!
We need 6,000 donors to make a gift in 24 hours on Tuesday, September 17. Whether you give $5, $18.42, or $1,842, the generosity of each and every Villanovan will help us reach our goal.
Gifts made on 1842 Day will provide direct dollars and impact for our students, faculty, staff and programs and strengthen our national reputation as Villanova continues to reach new heights.
